Con occhio distaccato il regista raccoglie le testimonianze dei greco-ciprioti e dei turco-ciprioti, per ricostruire, in maniera oggettiva e umana, la vera storia di Cipro. Il risultato è un esperimento antropologico che dimostra che i conflitti sono il prodotto del nazionalismo e del pregiudizio. Quando non si conosce, l'altro è sempre il nemico.
From his aloof point of view, the director gathers testimonies of both Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot people, and reconstructs, in an objective and human way, the real history of Cyprus. The result is an anthropological experiment which shows that the raise of conflicts is bound to nationalism and prejudice. If you don’t know the other, he always becomes your enemy.
Piergiorgio Curzi è nato a Roma nel 1975 ed è laureato in Lettere, indirizzo Spettacolo e Comunicazione Letteraria. Al momento sta lavorando a tempo pieno come sceneggiatore, ma la sua passione rimane sempre la regia.
Piergiorgio Curzi was born in Rome in 1975 and graduated in Fine Arts, with a specialization in Cinema, Communication and Literature. At the time, he is working as a script-writer, even if his passion and final goal always remains the cinema direction.
