Nutria are a large, odd looking rodent from Argentina that, 60 years after their introduction to North America, appear to be on track to eating the entire continent. Nobody really knows how to get rid of them, but there have been some pretty interesting attempts...

Matt McCormick è un filmmaker di Portland (Oregon,USA) il cui lavoro offre uno sguardo astratto e brillante della cultura e dell’ambiente contemporaneo. Tra i suoi film ci sono “The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal”, “American Nutria” “Going to the Ocean” e l’ultimo “Towlines” e sono stati proiettati in numerosi festival, come il Sundance Film Festival. Matt McCormick è inoltre il fondatore dell’etichetta di distribuzione di cinema sperimentale Peripheral Produce ed è il direttore del PDX Film Festival.
Ha vinto il New York Underground Film Fest (2000) e il Chicago Underground Film Fest (2000)

Matt McCormick is a Portland-based filmmaker whose work offers abstract and witty observations of contemporary culture and environment. His films include “The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal”, “American Nutria”, “Going to the Ocean,” and “Sincerely Joe P. Bear” and have shown from the Sundance Film Festival to the Lincoln Center and been touted in publications such as Art Forum and the New York Times. Matt is also the founder of the experimental film distribution label Peripheral Produce, and is the director of the PDX Film Festival. He won prizes in New York Underground Film Fest (2000) and Chicago Underground Film Fest (2000)
