HOW FAR I CAN GO

Il ritratto di tre donne le cui vite scorrono tra l'ideologia e la vita reale dei loro paese: Palestina e Israele. Maha Nassar, una palestinese che vive a Romallah, Nitza Aminov, un'israeliana che vive a Gerusalemme, Afnann Eghbaria, una palestinese di Haifa. Con grande schiettezza queste donne parlano delle loro convinzioni politiche e le esperienze personali. In contrasto con la società reale nei loro paesi e nelle loro vite, le tre donne riflettono sulla questione dell'dentità, delle frontiere, della famiglia, dei tempi, della vita e delle morte. Il film ha una struttura aperta e spazia dalle convinzioni politiche alle questioni universali e esistenziali della vita.

The portrait of three women between the poles set by the ideological and real frontiers of their countries: Palestine and Israel.
Maha Nassar, a Palestinian living in Ramallah, Nitza Aminov, an Israeli living in Jerusalem, Afnann Eghbaria, a Palestinian living in Haifa.
With great openness these women talk about their political convictions and personal experiences. Against the backdrop of the social reality in their countries and their life situation they reflect on
questions of identity, frontiers, family, time, living and dying. The film unfolds an open structure moving the focus from specific political statements to universal and existential questions of life.

Ulrike Ramlow è nata nel 1969 a Berlino. Dopo aver studiato Scienze Politiche in Germania e in Francia, ha lavorato in diversi progetti nel campo della trasformazione dei conflitti in percorsi di pace. Ha lavorato in Europa, Nord Africa e in Medio Oriente. Attualmente vive a Ramallah. How far I can go è il suo primo film.

Rimonda Mansour è nata il 15 dicembre 1959 a Acca in Israele. Si è laureata in Psicologia all'Università di Birzeit con un master in Criminologia all'Università ebraica di Gerusalemme. E' una femminista, attivista politica e formatrice. Attualmente gestisce progetti al "Duroob institute" a Yarka. How far I can go è il suo primo film.

Steffen Ramlow, nato a Berlino nel 1974. Dopo alcune esperienze come fotografo e light designer per molti gruppi teatrali, nel 1998 ha studiato comunicazione visiva alla Universität der Künste (UDK) di Berlino, e nel 2000 prosegue gli studi in media sperimentali alla Universität der Künste . Nello stesso anno fonda la galleria d'arte LICHTSCHLIFF – bilder & töne – berlin. Si laurea in cinema sperimentale alla UDK di Berlino nel 2004. È filmmaker, video artista e fotografo freelance.

Ulrike Ramlow was born 1969 in Berlin. After studying Political Science in Germany and France, she has been working in different projects in the field of conflict transformation and peace building. She has large experience in training in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Currently she lives and works in Ramallah. How far I can go is her first film.

Rimonda Mansour was born on Dec. 15, 1959 in Akka, Israel. She is holding a BA in psychology from Birzeit University and a MA in Criminology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a feminist, political activist and trainer. Currently she is managing projects in the "Duroob institute" in Yarka. How far I can go is her first film.

Steffen Ramlow, born in Berlin in 1974. After several experiences as photographer and light designer for various theaters and off-theater groups, in 1998 studied visual communications at the Universität der Künste (UDK), Berlin, and then in 2000 he took up experimental media at the Universität der Künste. In the same year he founded the gallery and art space LICHTSCHLIFF – bilder & töne – berlin. He graduated in experimental film and media at the UDK Berlin in 2004. He works as a filmmaker, video artist and freelance photographer.
