 Besnik Bisha, Albania, 2007, 90', Beta SP Il film è ambientato in una piccola cittadina in Albania, svelandone la realtà attraverso gli occhi e le intelligenti azioni di un normale zingaro in un Paese comunista degli anni '70. Accanto a un'esistenza ben organizzata e civile, è insediata una comunità zingara. Il tranquillo scorrere della loro esistenza sarà turbato dalla nascita di un maschio. The events take place in a small town in Albania. The film unfolds the reality through the eyes and clever actions of an ordinary gypsy in a communist country in the 1970s. Besides the well-organized civilized life, a gypsy community is settled in town. The calm flow of their life is troubled by the birth of a baby boy. The ninth child of the family, will bring joy not only to his close relatives, but to the entire gypsy community. What could then possibly trouble the strong communist establishment of the time? A child is born, but not an ordinary one. His name is Mao Tse Tung. A gypsy Mao Tse Tung in the 1970s. )Besnik Bisha, nato a Tirana nel 1958, ha iniziato la sua carriera come assistente alla regia nell'unico studio cinematografico nazionale. Ha partecipato a diversi festival internazionali di cinema, ricevendo molti premi. Il suo lungometraggio A Mother's Heart ha vinto il Trofeo d'Argento a Salerno e il Premio come Miglior Film al Tirana Film Fest. Mentre Bolero si è aggiudicato il premio come Secondo Miglior Film a Luhacevice, Repubblica Ceca, e anche il premio come Migliore Attrice e Miglior Attrice non protagonista al Festival del Cinema Europeo di Saint-Etienne nel 1997.
