DIORTHOSI Thanos Anastopoulos, Grecia/Greece, 2007, 83', 35 mm Un uomo esce di prigione. Come un moderno Ulisse intraprende un viaggio nell'Atene contemporanea popolata da migranti, senzatetto e altri emarginati. Sulla sua strada incontra una donna e una ragazzina. I tre protagonisti sono i membri di una famiglia problematica o solo vittime e persecutori di un conflitto violento che sta attraversando la società e che impedisce loro di vivere insieme? A man gets out of prison. Like a modern Ulysses he undertakes a homeless journey into contemporary Athens, populated by migrants, homeless and other marginalized people. On his way he meets a woman and a little girl. Are the three of them members of a disrupted family or just persecutors and victims of a violent conflict driven by society that prevents them from living together? Thanos Anastopoulos, nato ad Atene nel 1965, ha studiato Filosofia all'Università di Ioannina (Grecia). Si è specializzato all'Università Paris I e all'École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (E.H.E.S.S). Ha diretto cortometraggi, documentari e due opere teatrali. Il suo primo lungometraggio All The Weight Of The World è stato selezionato al Rotterdam International Film Festival. Thanos Anastopoulos, was born in Athens in 1965. He studied Philosophy at the University of Ioannina (Greece) and postgraduated at the University of Paris I and at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (E.H.E.S.S). He directed short films, documentaries and two theatre plays. His first feature film All The Weight Of The World was selected at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
