 Jared Katsiane, USA, 2009, 10', Beta SP Houna incontra Manny un pomeriggio d'estate fuori dall'ufficio immigrazione in una città degli Stati Uniti. The film is inspired by recent tragedy near Boston, where the film takes place: 361 immigrant factory workers where arrested and separated from their children. Jared Katsiane, insegna cinematografia a Boston nello stesso complesso di case popolari in cui è cresciuto. I suoi pluripremiati film sono stati proiettati in più di 200 festival internazionali ed egli ha vinto numerose sovvenzioni e borse di studio. Il suo film del 2005, Solace, mostrato in anteprima al festival di Clermont-Ferrand, ha vinto il Silver Mikeldi al 47° Festival Internacional de Cine Documental y Cortometraje de Bilbao ed è stato accolto come "pietra miliare" dalla rivista cinematografica francese “Cahiers du Cinema”. Jared Katsiane, teaches filmmaking in the same public housing development where he grew up in Boston. His award-winning films have screened at more than 200 international film festivals and he has received twenty grants and fellowships. Jared's 2005 film Solace premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, was awarded the Silver Prize at the 47th Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Film and was hailed as a "milestone" by the editor of France's premier film journal, “Cahiers du Cinema”.
