The resistance struggle of the peasants of Singur, West Bengala (India), against the expropriation of their land by the local government in favour of multinational companies such as Tata Motors and Fiat Auto, as it is told by the protagonists and the artists, writers, economists, labour leaders, men and women who support this struggle. This documentary shows the other side of the Indian economic flush: S.E.Z. (Special Economic Zone).

Danilo Licciardello, born in 1970 in Rome, he is a camera operator and he studied at the National Institute for Cinema and Television Roberto Rossellini, then he worked as cameraman for different TV channels. In 1998 he founded the independent film production company Vidart Produzioni Indipendenti and made various social documentaries and reportages. Since 2005 he carries out video workshops in some schools in Rome and he woks in collaboration with different organizations making promotional videos and documentaries on development projects in Western Africa.
