Silvia racconta la vita di un'ex prigioniera politica, Silvia Baraldini, che dopo aver militato come attivista per 15 anni negli Stati Uniti, è stata arrestata dal FBI nel 1982 e condannata a 43 anni di prigione. La sua storia raggiunge parti inesplorate dell'alleanza dei rivoluzionari statunitensi, afro-americani, portoricani e bianchi, che si unirono nel rispetto della loro autodeterminazione. La vicenda di Silvia esemplifica la perseveranza, lo spirito umano all'interno dei movimenti di resistenza come pure le misure repressive intraprese contro di loro dal Governo degli Stati Uniti.

Silvia records the life of former Political Prisoner, Silvia Baraldini, who after 15 years as a political activist in the U.S., was arrested by the FBI in 1982 and sentenced to 43 years in prison. Her story reaches into the intimate corners of a fragile alliance of U.S. revolutionaries, African-American, Puerto Rican and White who united in their respect for self-determination. Silvia's story exemplifies the enduring, human spirit within the resistance movements as well as the repressive measures waged against them by the United States government.

Lisa Thomas, produttrice e regista, lavora nel campo dei film e della televisione dal 1994. Attualmente è la produttrice esecutiva della serie-tv Xavier: Renegade Angel. Ha prodotto il documentario Sid Bernstein Presents e ha diretto Beyond Boundaries sugli effetti negativi del NAFTA in Messico.

Margo Pelletier, produttrice e regista, prima di lavorare nel campo dei film, è stata per vent'anni una plupremiata artista. I suoi lavori sono stati esibiti in musei di New York e presentati su «Art in America», «Sculpture» e «ArtNews». Il suo lavoro come regista e produttrice è iniziato con due programmi dal vivo ambientati nel LGBT Center a NYC: Celibacy, Our Choice or Not (1996) e Post Queer (1997). Recentemente, il suo corto Cast to the Wind è stato presentato al CUNY Graduate Center di New York.

Lisa Thomas, producer and director, has been working in film and television since 1994. Currently, Lisa is the Supervising Producer on the tv series, Xavier: Renegade Angel. She produced the documentary, Sid Bernstein Presents and directed the documentary, Beyond Boundaries about the ill effects of NAFTA on Mexico.

Margo Pelletier, Producer/Director, spent 20 years as an award winning fine artist before working in film. Her work has shown in museums in the New York area and has been published in «Art in America», «Sculpture» and «ArtNews». Margo's work as a director/producer began with two live programs held at the LGBT Center in NYC: Celibacy, Our Choice or Not in 1996 and Post Queer in 1997. Recently, her short film, Cast to the Wind was screened at the CUNY Graduate Center in NYC.
