MOMMY'S HOUSE Aron Kantor, USA, 2007, 19', Beta SP Richard e Carl, criminali ed amanti, fanno un incidente mentre fuggono da una rapina. Per cercare rifugio e un telefono, essi arrivano a bussare la porta di una casa invisibile ed enorme. Apre una donna delusa di nome “Mommy” che scambia Richard per suo figlio. Con lo svilupparsi della notte Richard inizia a identificarsi nel figlio di Mommy mentre Richard ingelosito decide di rapinarla e scappare. Mentre la tensione sale iniziano ad accadere eventi soprannaturali ed inizia ad apparire evidente che né Mommy né la sua casa sono ciò che sembrano. Richard and Carl, criminals and lovers, crash their car in the woods while escaping a bank robbery. Seeking shelter and a phone, they wind up at the overstated mansion of a delusional older woman named “Mommy” who mistakes Richard for her wayward son. As the evening progresses, Richard begins to bond with (and become protective of) Mommy, while Carl, sensing she is askew, plots to rob her and escape. As the tensions between the three grow, supernatural events begin to occur, and it becomes evident that neither Mommy nor her house are what they appear. Aron Kantor penetra differenti media con il suo lavoro visuale, mantenendo una consistente filosofia e riscuotendo un apprezzamento per un'estetica sporca e piena di eccessi scintillanti, nonché per la bellezza dello squallore pervertito che aleggia nei suoi film. Dopo aver studiato alla NYU, Aron ha vissuto e lavorato a New York, Parigi e Los Angeles. Stabilizzatosi nell'area di Silverlakes oggi lavora come regista, motion graphics designer e artista. Aron Kantor is a visual artist working on different medias. He is estimated for his dirty esthetics and his glittering excesses, and for the perversion and the beauty of the dreariness of his movies. Aron studied at NYU, and lived and worked in New York, Paris and Los Angeles. He actually lives in Silverlakes areas and works as a director, motion graphics designer and visual artist.
