 Charles Lum, USA, 2007, 10', Dv “F/F” è un viaggio musicale simultaneo attraverso due festival autunnali americani unici nel loro carattere ovvero la “Fryeburg Fair” in New England e la “Folsom Street Fair”di San Francisco. LA diversità topografica culturale e musicale delle due celebrazioni è unita in un unico frame esponendo telecamera e pubblico come voyers. La struttura duale propone un parallelismo culturale . Musica, telecamere e partecipanti ballano attraverso un vasto orizzonte politico e e geografico americano. “F/F” is a simultaneous musical journey through two uniquely American Autumn Festivals, the Fryeburg Fair in New England and San Francisco's Folsom Street Fair. The topographically, culturally and musically diverse celebrations are brought together in one frame as both counterpoint and mirror image, exposing the camera and viewer as observant voyeurs. The dual structure proposes a cultural comparison. Music, cameras and festivalgoers dance across the vast political and geographical landscape of America. Charles Lum è fotografo e film maker. Egli ha una visione dell'HIV e delle malattie sessualmente trasmesse senza compromessi, che tocca la sua esperienza personale. Laureato al Carleton College Lum prende un MFA in fotografia allo School Of Arts Insitute di Chicago nel 2004, Lum ha lavorato per 20 anni come Location Manager per films. Molti dei suoi corti sono stati proiettati in tutti i festival del mondo. Charles Lum is a photographer and filmmaker. He has his own uncompromised vision on HIV that touches his personal experience. Graduated at Carleton College Lum, he gets an MFA in Photography at the School Of Arts Institute of Chicago in 2004. Lum worked for 20 years as a location manager for films.
