 Cristina Mantis, Italia/Italy, 2007, 77', Beta SP Il documentario narra la storia dell'estrosa ed eccentrica Giuseppina Coluccelli detta Dolores e delle sue rocambolesche vicissitudini per avere una casa. Nell'arco di circa sei anni assistiamo alla sua talvolta esilarante ma di certo amara deriva, che la porta a vivere dapprima in una fatiscente pensione e, successivamente, in strada. Entriamo in contatto con il mondo sommerso dei senza dimora in cui confluisce, come un coro spaventato dal caro affitti, l'eco dei "nuovi poveri". Ambientato quasi interamente a Roma vede come coprotagonisti altri due senza dimora: Marcello Sediani, "il barbone che vuole la casa" e Evio Botta, sindaco dei barboni, strenuo difensore dei suoi "cittadini" e delle sue idee sullo scollamento che c'è tra lo stato e i reali problemi di chi si vede negato il diritto alla casa. This documentary tells the story of the flighty and eccentric Giuseppina Coluccelli known as Dolores and her amazing adventures to get a house. We experience six years of her sometimes funny but sad drifting, which forces her into having to live in a crumbling guesthouse, and then on the street. We come in contact with the sunken world of the homeless people, merging with the "new poor people", the vinctims of the current expensive house rental cost. Set in Rome, this doc has two co-protagonists, two homeless men: Marcello Sediani, "the homeless who wants a home" and Evio Botta, major of the homeless people, defending his “citizens” and his ideas on the coming apart of the link between the state and the real problems of those who see their housing right being denied. Cristina Mantis, attrice di teatro e cinema, nel 2002 si avvicina alla regia realizzando il laboratorio Il personaggio come persona al Teatro Ateneo di Roma e in seguito mettendo in scena lo spettacolo Infrarossi. Ha poi diretto alcuni videoclip tra cui, Bestiario dei Nasodoble. Il Carnevale di Dolores nasce inizialmente come percorso di ricerca artistica e personale e solo successivamente, nell'arco di sei anni, si è trasformato in un lavoro documentaristico. Cristina Mantis, theatre and cinema actress, in 2002 discovers directing during a workshop, called the character as a person at the Teatro Ateneo in Rome, and afterwards putting on the play Infrarossi.
