In December 1969, the Rolling Stones played a huge free concert at the Altamont racetrack outside of San Francisco. During the concert, the Hell's Angels killed a young man named Meredith Hunter in front of the stage. This film is a meditation on Meredith Hunter, who, in some small way, has become a historical footnote, yet at the same time seems to have been completely forgotten as an individual.
Sam Green è un regista documentarista che abita a San Francisco. Il suo film più recente, The Weather Underground, è stato nominato agli Academy Awards ed è stato incluso nella Biennale di Whitney. Sam Green is a documentary filmmaker based in San Francisco. His most recent film The Weather Underground was nominated for an Academy Award and included in the 2004 Whitney Biennial. Green received his Masters Degree in Journalism from University of California at Berkeley, where he studied documentary with acclaimed filmmaker Marlon Riggs. His other award-winning documentaries include The Rainbow Man/John 3:16, N-Judah 5:30, and Pie Fight ’69. He has received grants from the Guggenheim, Rockefeller, and Creative Capital Foundations.
