Mohamed Bakri visita la tomba del suo maestro, il trapassato Emil Habibi, uno scrittore e politico palestinese per raccontargli cosa e' successo dalla sua morte. Sullo sfondo le rivolte dell'ottobre 2000, l'Intifada palestinese, gli attacchi del terrore e la rappresaglia Israeliana. Due eventi cambiano il corso della sua vita: l'attacco a Meron nel quale due dei suoi nipoti furono attaccati e condannati per aver aiutato gli attentatori; e la produzione e la proiezione del suo film Jenin, Jenin.
Mohammad Bakri visits the grave of his mentor, the late Emil Habibi, a Palestinian writer and politician, to tell him what happened since he died. In the background, the October 2000 riots, the Palestinian Intifada, the terror attacks and Israel's retaliations. Two events change the course of his life: the Meron Terror Attack, in which two of his nephews were charged and convicted for aiding the attacker; and the production and screening of his film Jenin, Jenin.
Mohammad Bakri è nato nel 1953 a Bina, in Galilea, nel nord di Israele. Bakri ha lavorato come attore in numerosi film, tra cui Private, The Milky Way, Cup Final, Beyond the Walls e Hanna K. Nel 1998 Bakri ha esordito come regista con 1948, e nel 2002 ha diretto il film Jenin Jenin. Attore professionista dal 1976, Bakri ha lavorato in teatri in Israele e in Palestina (Cisgiordania), tra cui il Teatro Habima (il teatro nazionale di Israele), il Teatro Carmeni, in Teatro Haifa, il Teatro Jerusalem Khan e il Teatro Alkasaba di Ramallah.
Mohammad Bakri was born in 1953 in Bina, Galilee, in the North of Israel. Bakri has worked as an actor on numerous films, including Private, The Milky Way, Cup Final, Beyond the Walls and Hanna K. In 1998 Bakri made his directorial debut with 1948 and in 2002 he directed the film Jenin Jenin. A professional actor since 1976, Bakri has worked with theatres in Israel and in Palestine (West Bank) including: Habima Theatre (Israel's National Theatre), Carmeni Theatre, Haifa Theatre, Jerusalem Khan Theatre, and Alkasaba Theatre(Ramallah).
