The Roman festival is divided into 9 sections and will present 100 films, including many national and local premieres which will animate a programme that aims at the most involving scenarios of our time through extensive works but also through small but meaningful stories of everyday life.

This year’s festival focuses on those works that propose a reflection on the impact of economic modernization and consumption growth on those societies that, only recently, faced such issues.
•WOP WithOut Passport/papiers. European Film Screening on migrations.
The awaited new entry of the 2006 edition, in collaboration with the Association NOVA Cinema, Bruxelles.
20 films that will be screened in Bruxelles next September.
Going beyond commonplaces and stereotypes, this journey will analyse the issue of borders and migratory flows; the departures and the problems at the arrival.
•Screening on Women’s Cinema. The power of coalition.
It will be an ironic and fast-paced journey among stories where the women’s ability to gather and support each other made the difference in social and cultural underprivileged environments or produced unexpected and sometimes threatening outcomes.
•Ice, fire and bordering lands
For the 3rd year in a row, Tekfestival will present the most recent Northern European production. This year the works will show the deep interest of Scandinavian countries towards a narration that is not introspective but focused on the relationship with the others.

Considering its big success on the audience and press during the festival last edition, this year we will present the second part of the retrospective on Rogerio Sganzerla.
•Phag Off section: metrosexual representations in the contemporary cinematography.
Phag-Off proposes a radical and avant-garde look at the issues of gender identity and sexual orientation, developing a critical perspective on the power relationships outside and within the gay, lesbian and transsexual community. This section will screen many national premieres thanks to the tight-knit collaboration with the main promotion and distribution centres of GBLT cinema.
•Retrospective on Richard Dindo.
The tribute to the Swiss director Richard Dindo will be a new event, organized by Tekfestival in collaboration with the Swiss Institute in Rome and with Swissfilm. Ten of his works will be screened during the festival. The films will be presented and discussed with the director himself.
